Probate Valuation Information
HMRC requires an estimate of the estate’s value (the deceased’s money, property and possessions), to ascertain if Inheritance Tax is due. Visit HMRC's website to use its Inheritance tax checker.
Whilst providing valuations of the estate, 'reasonable care' must be taken to provide accuracy. If the information supplied is inaccurate and the inaccuracy results in tax being underpaid, HMRC may impose penalties. A professional and independent probate valuation is much more likely to be accepted by HMRC.
Please be aware that our probate valuation comprehensively covers everything in the house and gardens, and also includes vehicles. There is no need to seek additional valuations (such as from Jewellers) as all the contents, including items that the family intends to keep, should be included in a single report.

To promote the sale of the item(s), they will appear on our website and in our catalogues, which are available on live bidding platforms reaching buyers from all over the world.
House Clearance
If emptying the house from a deceased estate, our clearance service can help to alleviate some of the stress. The service includes a broom sweep and can also include a full clean to leave the property in a suitable condition to be marketed for sale.
